Education is the cornerstone of progress and development, both at an individual level and for society as a whole. Engr. Adegboyega Ayyub, the Chief Executive Officer of Imran Roofing, has exemplified this commitment by disbursing ₦440,000 in funds to deserving recipients of the Imran Foundation Bursary/Scholarship Award 2023.

Ayyub’s initiative involves providing financial support to indigenous tertiary institution students in his hometown of Akesan, Lagos State, enabling them to pursue their educational aspirations. The beneficiaries received varying amounts based on their academic performance, with a minimum of ₦10,000 for all recipients. Students with a commendable 3.5 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) and above were awarded ₦20,000, while those achieving a remarkable 4.0 CGPA and above received ₦50,000. This generous gesture has benefited 36 deserving students who received their funds through interbank transfers to their respective bank accounts.

Engr. Ayyub, an alumnus of Lagos State University and a prominent businessman involved in real estate and roofing materials importation in Nigeria, expressed his gratitude to God for the success of the program. He emphasized that the annual bursary award is his way of giving back to his community and contributing to the betterment of society. He acknowledged that the journey was challenging at the outset but attributed its fruition to divine intervention.

To ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process, beneficiaries were chosen irrespective of their course of study and institution by a non-political and independent Bursary/Scholarship Award Committee. This committee meticulously conducted background checks, screening, and qualification assessments of all 36 applicants, adhering to predefined criteria for selection.

The Imran Innovation Bursary/Scholarship Award Committee 2023 included prominent community members such as Comr. Oladimeji Monday Ogunbewon, Mr. Alimi Samson, Mr. Segun Ogunbewon, and Mr. Abudu Yusuf, all of whom hail from Akesan, Lagos State. Notably, Engr. Adegboyega Ayyub, CEO of Imran Roofing & Properties, was honored as one of the most respected CEOs in Nigeria (Manufacturing-Roofing) at the Nigeria Most Respected CEOs Awards FCT-Nigeria 2022. This prestigious recognition underscores his outstanding achievements and contributions to the business sector.

Apart from his professional accomplishments, Engr. Ayyub is renowned for his philanthropic endeavors. He has supported various charitable organizations and causes across Nigeria and has sponsored over 300 students to complete their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms, in addition to donating over ₦5 million to those in need.
